How would Jesus start a church?
According to Gospel of John, Jesus met the first disciples at the ministry of John the Baptist. It is safe to assume that these working adults took unpaid time off work, and paid their own travel and food expenses, in order to seek the things of God. They were introduced to Jesus, and talked with Him. The next day, Jesus invited them to join Him in going to a: (Look at the Bible and then choose the right answer below)
1) Worship service
2) Prayer meeting
3) Bible study (ok, Torah study)
4) Evangelistic outreach program
5) Ministry of service to the needy
6) Party

Like the party part. I havent blogged for a while becasue im not sure what I should blog on. Any ideas?
How about "What does it mean today for a young adult to come of age?" The Jews of the Bible became men at the Bar Mitzvah around age 12 or 13. In Japan, there is a "seijinshiki" (literally "adult ceremony"), or "coming of age day" at age 20. What about here and now?
Wow i have been busy!!! Sooo much stuff going on. Im going to blog soon(probably tommorow) but right now I have to study for a sermon right now though.
And I think it is prayer meting becasue Jesus is all about prayer which is awesome!!!

I appreciate your enthusiasm! Calvary Chapel is a good reference point. In the spectrum of real Christian churches in America, (Christ-centered, Bible-believing, Spirit-filled, Evangelical, Born-again), I would say we’re closer to Calvary Chapel than any other church movement I can think of, at least on paper.
(Verse-by-verse expository teaching of the whole Bible, non-denominational church organization, neither “cessationist” nor “Pentecostal”, but balanced in between.) But every church has it’s own personality, and we are not a Calvary Chapel. Our Vision and Statement of Faith is posted near the beginning of the archives on this blog.
The idea behind this post on a passage from Gospel of John is “Inductive Bible Study”. It’s “deriving general principles from particular facts or instances”, to quote the American Heritage Dictionary. Calvary Chapel is known for this approach to the Bible. As a church, we also want to guide people in digging into the Bible together. When we look at the Word, we ask: (1)What does it say, (2)What does it mean, and (3)How does it apply to our lives today?
